Apparently, the entire non-IE-using world was so anxious to believe that they were superior to IE users that we all bought into this, as BBC reports, hoax. C’est la vie.

A study conducted by AptiQuant had people taking an online IQ test; but secretly it was checking to see what browsers they used; the majority of people who used Internet Explorer scored the lowest on the IQ test.

In a further damning statistic, users of IE6 scored the lowest of all: Just above 80 IQ points (Sorry, Tim!)

Users of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari were all above average IQ, while Camino, Opera, and Explorer with Chrome Frame users scored “exceptionally higher” (Sweet justification, Fatcat!).
