Web giant, Google has recently begun investing in R&D for a new cellular phone that runs a Linux-based OS.
So far, they don’t seem to have gotten any of the major cell phone manufacturers on board with them, but it’s only a matter of time.
What could we expect from GPhone? If their past and current software trends are any indication, the phone will be free, but it will listen in on your conversations, then use it’s GPS functionality track your location, recommend several nearby retailers, then tell you how to get there. I can’t decide if that’s creepy or kind-of neat.
