Official: Apple iPad ships on April 3

Apple has today announced that their iPad tablet device will be eligible for pre-order starting March 12, with shipments beginning on April 3.

Prices for the new device will range from $499 for a 16GB model equipped with WiFi, up to $829 for the 64GB model equipped with WiFi and a 3G radio. The price of data, meanwhile, is set in two tiers: $14.99 for 250MB/month, or $29.99 for unlimited data.
