    24 FPS :\

Not bad considering my current setup though.. P4 3.2Ghz (stock, as the mobo doesn't want me changing FSB :o ), 1gb Micron PC-3200, GF4 Ti 4200 (No GPU fan at that :) )

I'm planning on finding a BFG 6800 GT sometime in the next month, so hopefully my score will at least double when it arrives and I slap it in (temporarily place it in this rig, while saving for the rest of the components).

34.7 fps, P4 2.8 @ 3.0, 9800XT, 1024X768, medium detail both in game and at slider settings in ATI control panel.

I'm a couple hours into the game and am happy with the performance and looks at those levels.

:OPINION: a lot, not all, of the people NOT enjoying the game have their gamma too high. I'm getting jumped all the time from places I can *barely* see right in front of me, making for a very tense walk thru.

With my new 6800 GT, I got 21.5 FPS using Mack's settings in his original post. :(

    Something's wrong. Any thoughts?

    what are your aa setting

and did you uninstall the old drivers before installing the new card

AA is off. I uninstalled the drivers, removed the Ti4600, installed the 6800 GT, and installed the latest offical display drivers from nVidia.

"Mack's settings" are Ati tweaks cause they need them ...Nvidia's do not. Change back those settings to the original settings and you should be ok there.

That pausing before every door opening is kind of annoying. I have 512mb of ram, maybe I'll try Gravite's settings.... Whenever a new area is about to be reached, the hard drive fires up and the whole game freezes for a second or three... But once the area "loads", it runs smooth as hell..... :-/

You need 1 GB or ram.

    Athlon XP 3000+ @ 2.4g (12x200)
    512 mushkin level II
    9800pro 128 @440/380 w/ 4.9's

    card set to balance
    1024x768 high

    35.1 run one
    66.7 run two

    card set to balance
    1024x768 ultra

    25.6 run one
    60.5 run two

In actuality though ...in multiplayer competition I only clock to 433/366 and set to 800x600 medium. Surround is just too much of a pain. And I think surround may take a huge chunk out of fps as well.
