What resolution(s) do you normally run your computer(s) at?
Just out of curiosity, what resolution do you guys usually use on your computer(s)? I'm not talking about what it CAN do- I mean, my 21" CRT CAN do 2048x1536, but I generally run it at 1600x1200. So yea, the question isn't "list every resolution you've ever run every monitor you've ever had at", it's "What resolution do you normally use on your computer? If you run different resolutions on different computers, check all that apply."

It maximizes the available onscreen space and with my glasses, I won't go completely blind reading it that small
One- I fuggered the poll. I accidentally forgot to check the "allow multiple choice" option. I've already PMed SimGuy and asked him to fix it.
Two- I forgot to mention what I run mine at.
My laptop has a 15" UXGA so it runs at 1600x1200
My 3 desktops are hooked up to my Sony CPD-G520 21" monitor
I run the 9700 Pro/NF7 system @ 1600x1200
I run the 8500/K7D-L system @ 1600x1200
I (will) run the R128/Pro266TD-LR system @ 1280x1024 when I get it running because the R128 can't do any better than 1280x1024...
Fixed
I hope.
Same here
I personally prefer the 1280x1024, but that system has a 19" LCD on it (and isn't mine, drat!) so the image is nice and crisp and not ultra tiny. My CRT is 17" so 1024x768 is the higher resolution I can tolerate . . . anything higher than that and it's too tiny, plus the monitor makes small waves.
19" Monitor
1600x1200 on my laptop.
NS
Same with me, can't stand it any lower. The majority of the systems at my school are set at 800x600 which is annoying, but the latest ones in you can adjust the resolution to anything you want.
I run 1024 at work on a pos 17"
But then I am old and blind.
Sometimes, getting old really sucks.
Other 4:3 resolutions are
640x480
800x600
1024x768
1600x1200
2048x1536
<i>1600x1200@90Hz - 21"</i>
<b>ADI 6P:</b>
<i>1280x1024@90Hz - 19"</i>
Yes I can see the writing, there is no flickering, and everything is perfectly legible and properly sized for my comfort.
Pixie 19" CRT - 1152X864.
Piece of @#$%$ 17" monitors at the office - 1024X768.
My main family computer runs at 1800x1440, which uses a 19" monitor.

method of concealing the answer, though.:p
Otherwise would be using higher density screen display and looking at things more clearly-- after surgery and recovery there is a 90% chance I can handle the max density this monitor will support. Right now I am 95% left eyed for vision and kinda used to that as I have had right eye vision problems for ages. I started tracking cataract problems about 2.5 years ago.
So each of us have reasons for what we do, based on monitor size and budget and also vision which is personal but also will influence our answers a LOT.
