I ran PCMark, here are the results, I've never used this bench before so I dont know what should be what, does any of this look extrordinarily wrong or low?
i dont know what exactly that should look like for an athlon system, but assuming you're running dual channel i would assume the memory score on your system and my pee4 should be pretty similar, in which case you should be getting about 9000... everything else is peachy
-- i take that score back. i looked at some comparable published scores from futuremark, looks like you should have 4500-5000... still a bit low
however at this point, it doesn't seem like anything is performing DRASTICALLY underpar, i'd pin it on a gfx problem

hmmmmm, guess I'll have to go back into the BIOS and mess with some stuff. like I said, downloaded the newst catalyst and reinstalled AND the newest DX9b and installed, so I dunno, hmmm...I'll let you know the results of my screwing around with it haha
wow, thanks for the link shwaip!! i followed the method of systematically removing the drivers then reinstalling the mobo drivers, directx, etc, and look at the improvement, and this was with some stuff still running in the background!
Heres with my new shuttle rig I just got up (All at stock). I think I'm going to have to OC this baby, we can't have a P4 with the highest score now can we?
Shuttle FN45 Mainboard
Mushkin Level 1 256x2 PC3200
AMD 3000+ 400 FSB
Radeon 9800NP biosed to pro
edit// DOH, how do I convert this thing to jpg? I have 0 software on my comp right now. Score is 41207 for now...
3200+
9700 Pro
KT600 motheboard (ewww)
2 x 256 Corsair DDR 400
Stock settings.
course I got the pro version and if you crank everything up to max...1600x1200 etc...I can hit 3.2 FPS!!! Woot. But anyway....standard results attached.
Secondary Rig listed in my sig (with Omega Cat 3.7's):
CPU Score: 5371
GFX Score: 3960
AquaMark Score: 28763
High Particle Count, Large-Scale Vegetation Rendering, and Massive Overdraw really brought my Radeon 9500 Pro to its knees with less than 20 FPS in each category...
Of course the Radeon 7500 in The Girl's PC was pulling 1.6 FPS in Dynamic Occlusion Culling... the Radeon 9500 Pro got 48.28 FPS there...
//edit:
Raised the OC on my Processor, and OC'd the Video Card through software to 310MHz/290MHz (I thought the Radeon 9500 Pro couldn't be OC'd without BIOS update? Well it apparently did...)
CPU Score: 6635
GFX Score: 4413
AquaMark Score: 33122 http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?runID=1238439460
Actually, no I don't - have no temp monitoring on it. It's NOT a great OC card, those #'s are just about max - 360+ core or 325+ mem give me artifacts and/or lockups. I know ATI's and later revisions (mine's 1.0) get much better core clocks, 400ish isn't abnormal. It does have a 60mm fan in place of the stock cooler, which died. I'd like to cool it better and see what it can do but I'm scared to take the shim off around the core, it's REALLY on there good. Maybe when I next upgrade (spring?) I'll get brave and hack it off.
Actually, I'm running the Omega 2.4.74a drivers. Come to think of it, I've read somewhere that the Omegas supposedly render better quality, but that benchmarking scores fall. As far as the soft mod goes, Windows and 3DMark03 indicate the card to be a "9700 Pro". Hmm.
My 9700np is also identified as a pro everywhere.
I believe all non-pro's are detected as pro.
Well here is my score.
Bench was performed on the system listed below.
The Radeon 9700np is running at 300/300.
I am going to try the test again tomorrow I have quite a lot of processes running in the background.
I thought my score was good for a budget system. I know I need to upgrade my CPU/GPU and I'd like a gig of ram, but for what I have, you have to admit is a good score.

it's set at 128m, is this right?

unfortunately that image seems to be more representative of whats happening with my system and AquaMark/3Dmark....

That first picture is one of the Characters from the Rejected video and I was editing a picture earlier to make it fit as a backdrop on my PDA
Suppose it could be ABM2003 (AnusBleedingMark 2003)....
