I own a dreamcast and x box and ps3 and the xbox and dreamcast are being degraded more and more due to scaling factor and dvd as well
and i keep buying dvds and they look the worst on this samsung
tried really hard adjusting the picture with no luck
does look alright when playing blu rays not to colorful.
my dvdS on my other monitors tv whatever look still acceptable.
they just gotta roll out the next gen monitors with 10 bits if they can.
and lets enjoy life eh
I still don't see any explanation of why the display is a problem. The little bit of information you've given us could point to an issue somewhere else.
I personally own two Samsung televisions and two Samsung computer monitors. They range in age from 6 years to less than 1 year old. I cannot say I've ever had a problem with color or quality. I did research beforehand and knew what I was purchasing. I also purchased from a reputable retailer that allows returns if I'm unsatisfied with the product.
My roommate owns a Samsung monitor and will be purchasing a Samsung TV this weekend. It sounds like the majority of long-standing, proven-educated members of Icrontic own Samsung displays. No one here is a representative of Samsung, yet they're spoken highly of throughout the forum. I will continue to recommend Samsung displays to anyone who asks.
I'm not saying your concerns aren't legitimate. There's a possibility you may have received a bad unit. However, all you've done is essentially shout "SAMSUNG SUCKS," without any evidence. And instead of providing any when asked, you proceeded to verbally attack long-standing members.

I own an LG display, because their 22" LCDs with 2ms response time are less than samsung's 5ms LCDs of the same size, and the LG has a higher brightness rating. Granted, the contrast is lower, but not much.

It broke right away the 1080 p was ok
but man was the dvd quality and picture on regular 640 by 480 looked bad
way worst than possibly imagenable so yea samsung is way better than lg .
THE LG TV FROM my experience. i first traded it for my i art pro at 2001audio video it only lasted 1 day glad i traded it for the jvc the salesman was trying to talk me out it.the power supply broke or something maybe a defect i dont know any i lost one hundred dollars on that trade.
