If you are a NRA member, state rifle association member, AARP member, or AAA member they usually have discount rates all you have to do is ask. Never be afraid to negotiate, but since it is an EXPO and Icrontic is a business you can simply ask for the business rate and usually they don't question you about it.
Got a job with what sounds like super flexible hours, it's too early to tell but I might be able to swing this. Above the official price how much would you budget for EPIC? I'd be tenting it.
I'm with Thrax. Although it depends on how much you eat (do you order huge meals, with appetizers, beers, + desset when you grub) and how many beers you drink - I've always been able to make it on about 50 bucks/day.
I go on all the food tour stops (usually) and participate in the daily beer run.
Guess it just depends how much of a cheap ass you are. :P
I budget $1/day, and just have a sleeve of saltines for each meal.
Sometimes I take a bunch of leftovers without names on them, and put them in the blender with several unfinished beers left-out the night before. I call this EPIC Mead, and it's nutritious.
