    I have noticed that you don't always see the animation of the fire being lit in the interface or on the furnace itself. How long did you leave it? Glass takes about as long to "smelt" as the clear rock does from cobblestone (aka, like 30 - 40 seconds per unit)

    I've had furnaces that show as always lit. And as Ryder said, my output box was full so the furnace wouldn't smelt any more. I couldn't see anything, but he could so he cleared it out.

    It took me a couple of retries, but I was able to get it to connect just now.

    The (temporary?) new server name is

    ryderocz.sytes.net

    My first attempted went "connecting -> logging in -> downloading terrain -> server timeout", but the second one worked. I'm right were I left off when the server went down on Thrax's hosting and it was backed up.

    My inventory remained untouched. It even kept the block I dropped at literally the last second before everything went down.

    TL; DR: go try it again now. :D

    Well I can get on for about 5 mins and then all of a sudden every block I destroy comes back, every block I place disappears, and everything then just stops. the game then times out!

    Yeah, there is only so much you can do... Also, has anyone put labels on the isometric map yet? I'd be interested to see where everything is.

    Windows 7 installed updates at 3am (EDT) thus after the reboot, no Minecraft.

    I changed the setting for installing updates, won't happen again.

    I had a few spare minutes to hop on the other night - where did everyone go? I'm used to seven or eight people being on! It's so... so... EMPTY now! Are we all waiting for Oct 31?
