Been a while since I've been there Only so much I can do with my 3 computers.
3 computers could easily get you into the current top 20, depends on the computers and the clients used 3 core 2 duos with the SMP client 4,500 PPD add a quad and you are flying:bigggrin:
There is generally a 24 hour grace period after the 3-day deadline and the point award is pro-rated if it finishes there
I had the client on and off over the week-end for various reasons and missed my deadline. It's posting this message:

If the 24hr grace period is still good then I will finish the WU in time before it shuts down. I am interested to see what the pro-rata points are going to be.
My Intel HT Xeons can run SMP but 7 times out of 10 they fail the project deadline by 5% just think 12 boxes folding SMP = 8000+ PPd so sad they are so slow

So it seems they gave it to me after all
I checked the stats pages but was unable to see how many points were allocated as I had 3 completed WU update at that time. I'm quite sure the SMP unit was included as the points are consistent with my other SMP points update.

Sorry- I couldn't get to FAH WIKI last night- only the forum. It gave you ALL the points the WU is worth.
Well, I won't be helping for a while. They have pulled my internet access at work. I need to set up a space at home and run some cables. Then maybe I can get back on track.

Ouch! You'll certainly be missed until you are. :sad2:

I realized recently that I hadn't remembered to set up F@H on the computer after I rebuilt it, so I've currently got the PS3 folding essentially full time (no games anyway ) and two consoles for my X2 6000+.
Question for those in the know, as I don't have quite the time to read all the threads and such, is the SMP client really an advantage over two single consoles using each core, or is it just for those that only want to install one thing?
Lemme know and I'll be checking back in for answers! Thanks guys.
i don't recall the specifics, but my main rig more than doubled it's PPD after switching to SMP. However, be warned that the SMP client is MUCH more memory hungry (~300MB)
That's what I thought. I'm working on getting it installed on Vista and uninstalling the old single consoles. My new problem is I was trying to install it on my Turion X2 dual-core Ubuntu box, and it doesn't recognize both cores. Tells me I only have one, and to install the other version. Any ideas?
Excellent news Matt very good pointage etc for the SMP, seriously considering dropping all Uniprocessor clients here. That would mean that my athlon 2200 boxen that folds for team 93 would go. but its likely replacement would be an E6400

No equivocation at all - INSTALL AND RUN the Windows SMP client!
Scott- congrats! You're solidly in the 40000ppw club
But the SMP is a love/hate relationship for me. While I don't struggle as bad as others, it's a cranky client with installation and networking issues, hates Vista (well, I understand that), and I can't figure out why the hehll it requires God-like priviledges to work. (It kinda reminds me of a wife ...).

I hope I´m wrong...
Because I can't figure out what difference it makes, I would be hopeful.
Also, the grace period hangs on what WU you're working. For exmaple, a 2651 has it but a 2652 doesn't.

Short answer. Yes it is
Hooked on SMP werked 4 me!
He isn't kidding!

Fold on/ Rock on!
Gotta love the SMP.
