I'll have to check out Halloween, Alaska. The Decemberists do rock, though
Godspeed You Black Emperor! - Providence Azita - On The Road 13 & God - Afterclap (it's basically The Notwist mixed with a bunch of other guys, very cool)
We went to a Tower "record" store in Chicago yesterday. It's too bad they didn't sell vinyl anymore, but they did have a lot of good music. I ended up getting The Silver Mt Zion & Tra-la-la Band - Born Into Trouble As the Sparks Fly Upward along with Red House Painters - Songs For A Blue Guitar. I just wish I'd had more time/money there
D'oh! I've noticed your musical tastes are a lot like mine, but this is the first time you tripped up. (I'm just messing with you, whatever floats your boat )
Listening to the rain/storm right now. Been so long since we had a really good storm, and a wicked one is brewing to start off the season. I love storms
Edit:
Normally I'd wait a few posts to update. But damn, this is too cool. The Flaming Lips did an album called "Zaireeka." It's a four-disc set. Only... certain things are on certain CDs. Which means you can listen to it separately, as well. But I downloaded a track with everything combined into one track with 5.1 sound. DAMN! This is way cool. I don't think the person did it entirely properly... that or Winamp blows. The channels aren't as distinct as they should be. I need to get 4 CD players into one room...
Theres a bit of every thing in my music collection, not a big fan of Good Charlotte but now and again I need to listen to something I've not heard in a while.
at the moment its Enigma -MCMXC AD (LIMITED EDITION)
Guns 'N' Roses - November Rain Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros - Gamma Ray British Sea Power - Carrion
I listened to Frank Zappa/The Mothers - Billy The Mountain (off of Just Another Band From L.A.) as per recommendation of my stepdad. It's so funny/random. In case you haven't heard it, it's a 24-minute song about a mountain named Billy and his wife Ethel, a tree who lives on his shoulder, who go on a cross-country vacation and crush everything in their way
Insane Clown Posse - Truly Alone
Insane Clown Posse - Sedatives
Insane Clown Posse - In my Room
Nine Inch Nails - Closer
Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)

This is a concert bootleg recording for which you may listen. Her voice is addictive yet annoying, like scratching a mosquito bite until it bleeds.
he still got the crazy flow.
