My God. He's amazing. I would kill to play guitar, let alone being that amazing. I don't remember, but I think there are very few, if any, words spoken on this CD (Is There Love In Space?). The crazy part is, he doesn't need to. He literally sings with his guitar. In that one, Just Look Up, you can actually hear where someone would go, "Just look up..." So cool.
The best part is, he seems to be extremely cool. You can listen to his entire album on the site. http://www.satriani.com/webcast/2004-07/ Click "Listen Now" on the bottom. It's got everything, plus a few bonus tracks.
much obliged for the link; i'm a huge fan of him myself.
one of the greatest bands EVER. If you ever have a solid hour and half, you owe it to yourself to listen to their self-titled album (Mr Bungle) from beginning to end uninterrupted. It is a precious jewel.
Umphrey's Mcgee - Jajunk pt. 1 (Not bad. Like a subpar Phish. Might see these guys at Summerfest) Karate - Ice or Ground? The Dirtbombs - Broke In Detroit (Again)
Collections of Colonies of Bees - Untitled 1 Eluvium - Taken Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! - Let The Cool Goddess Rust Away
The last one, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are going to be huge. Mark my words. They're already causing a huge flurry all over the internet, and they're unsigned yet. That, frankly, is amazing. It's a modern-day Talking Heads. His voice sounds a lot like David Byrne, and the music is in the same vein. Big big big...
word on the CYHSY!.. they're getting a ton of hype right now. Hope they ride it like Arcade Fire instead of The Unicorns...
MF Doom - Guinnesses Sufjan Stevens - Jacksonville LCD Soundsystem - Daft Punk is playing at my house
Listen to the LCD song and resist dancing. I dare you. Then listen to Electric 6 - Dance Commander. Then switch back to LCD Soundsystem and roll with Disco Infiltrator.
What'd you think of it? Personally, I thought it wasn't bad, but not all that special. Nothing at all like One By One, both stylistically and how good it was.
Last Days of April - Live the End Radiohead - Go To Sleep Dream Theater - Scene Eight: The Spirit Carries On
