Ok, so some of you might've noticed that I really enjoy String Tributes to great bands. Well, I've one-upped that. I got a tribute to Led Zeppelin off a favorite torrent site of mine.
Not just any tribute, but The London Philharmonic Orchestra's tribute. Oh my god. I'm not usually one for listening to orchestral music, but holy crap. I cannot stress enough how amazing this is. Crank this album, and it's just amazing. The entire room just lights up!
Yes, it's at MySpace. Yes, MySpace blows. Yes, it's punk. But they're actually pretty good. I haven't been a big fan of punk lately, but these are cool. Except for Emery's (who I usually like a lot) cover of Holding Out For A Hero. They scream too much at the end, and it kind of ruins it. Oh well, cool thing anyway.

Entropy, You are so right (but you knew I'd say that)!! I just ordered 2 of their live concerts from their website (as opposed to HMV in Canada). Saved me about $50 CDN. TG for the Internet.
I is listening to: Aqueduct - Hardcore days and softcore nights
which I purchased last night at B&N along with The Decemberists CD. And I am rocking out. Oh yes.
The main bands that I listen to and I've liked for a long time are Weezer(my favorite band), Dogs Die in Hot Cars, Dashboard Confessional and My Chemical Romance(Their 1st album is amazing...). Lately I've been listening to Matchbook Romance along with a lot of singles from various artists but i have yet to listen to their full albums.
EDIT: Oh yeah, for a nice change every once in a while i like to listen to Mindless Self Indulgence. Their like nothing I've ever heard and you may want to check them out if you're in "one of those weird moods."
My God. He's amazing. I would kill to play guitar, let alone being that amazing. I don't remember, but I think there are very few, if any, words spoken on this CD (Is There Love In Space?). The crazy part is, he doesn't need to. He literally sings with his guitar. In that one, Just Look Up, you can actually hear where someone would go, "Just look up..." So cool.
The best part is, he seems to be extremely cool. You can listen to his entire album on the site. http://www.satriani.com/webcast/2004-07/ Click "Listen Now" on the bottom. It's got everything, plus a few bonus tracks.

Listening to their "We only love you" album I got off of iTunes.
The Who - Quadrophenia
Ex-Phish lead singer's solo album. It's not quite Phish, but it's good. He's brilliant.

The Cat Empire rocks my lame ass so incredibly hard. They're touring the US now, see them if you can. Otherwise, order their CD from Australia.

Ani Difranco - Untouchable Face
ani is so angry.. luckily, so talented too
LIN

Mirah - Don't Die on Me
The Cat Empire - The Crowd
Jack Johnson - Sitting, Waiting, Wishing
Aqueduct - Hardcore days and softcore nights
which I purchased last night at B&N along with The Decemberists CD. And I am rocking out. Oh yes.
