I'm in on one machine. In a couple minutes I'll add my second home computer.
Four installations refused to correctly install DIMES. I could not get it to work until I installed to the default location: C:\Program Files. Most of my applications and programs are on another partition. DIMES refused to play ball.
This ought to be fun. So glad that it won't interfer with our Team Short-Media Folding@Home Team.

The Frogs! I did not forget our our friends at PC Perspective. It would be great if they'd join too. Here's their invite. Pop on over and encourage them.
I'm just poking around after I saw your invite. I've got a couple of questions though.
Does the agent read results from internal ip addys behind a router, or just your external isp addy??
Will the project get a more comprehensive result when installing the agent on multiple computers?
Anyway, We've got some interest, but I wanted to do some bird-doggin' for the Frogs before we went ahead and formed a team...

Thanks, guys!
I just posted over at the Dimes forum, when I get the answers I'll let you know. Multiple comps do help your ppd.
Witenoiz just took spot #1 from Prime. Congrats witenoiz, sorry prime.
An observation, if you're running folding@home, do not leave the dimes display open. It sucks from me, an average of 18% CPU and I've seen it as high as 99% when my graph is full of resolved links.
I tried it on my desktop. I didnt have any type of Java thingy installed so I installed the downloaded version of the MS Virtual Java Machine that I still have and it wouldnt detect that. I have the same thing on my laptop but I didnt get the error, it just wouldnt show anything.
Does everyone else use the Sun's Java? I am not going to have an icon in my system tray.

It's REAL bad - it means your DIMES aren't curing cancer anymore. You need to feed it more QUARTERS.
Try here.

I like the idea.
BTW, Has anybody got this to run on Win 98 boxes? I've had trouble getting it to run. Works on the XP boxes fine.
Had 2 running for a while to see if it worked through the firewall. Looks ok.
Just added a few more this morning, so we'll see how they go.
ps.........Just had a look and we are now in 12th spot.
Way to go team.
A few more? Looks to me like you added most of the farm!
I think we need to ask for the SMx Committee to agree to this... I like the idea.
Q
I mentioned it to Prime a few days ago. I too like the idea.
Almost.......
