I tell you what UPS is having so much fun playing you guys in TF2. We think it would be cool if we have a skirmish with the you IC guys. We think it would be a blast. Its cool to find a clan that just likes to have fun as well. I think its funny when I meet up with other clans that take everything so seriously. UPS gladly accepts your challenge.
That sounds dandy, perhaps you could talk to keebs or brian about it and maybe we could ACTUALLY get a constant team for thing likes this =)

You may beat us in a few rounds of TF2, but you will never beat us in Beer Consumption.
my problem is, it is too big for just 12vs12. You spend alot of time not killing.
But doesn't that emphasize the more "team aspect" of TF2? Instead of solo'ing the flag and trying to run back, you'll need more of a concentrated effort to breakthrough and take the flag.
I might have to start playing more medic if we play this map.

Last night, I went back and forth across the map without seeing anyone. I set up defenses as an engineer and nobody came for the flag. The map needed bottlenecks like 2fort.
I think the point of the map was to be a ctf map that was not so much like 2fort. I liked how open it was, personally.
I'd like to see them come out with more alternative objective maps like that one. I'd like to see, for example, cp_2fort or a linear recapturable version of gravel-pit. These would be simple to make, as the levels are already done, they would just need to change around a few walls and stairs, and adjust the rules.
I agree... I rather liked how open the CTF version of well was... It definitely required a much greater team aspect to rush into the other base to get the flag...

Well IMHO, I felt the map design was rather half assed. When the map started I got the captured the flag twice in a matter of minutes. This map is so big that over half your time is gonna have to be on defense, where in 2fort you could get by with an engineer till an uber heavy came along. Even if you had nobody defending in 2fort, when you first heard that your flag was captured you know they were either coming through one stairs or the other. In well you need atleast 2 engineers and a pyro defending the intel not to mention the other people you're gonna need to defend the other entrances. If a scout captures the intel, you might aswell give them the point since the map is so wide open and has no bottlenecks.
In this map no one player can prevent or facilitate capturing the flag without support from multiple teammates with several different classes. I also noticed that the map didn't seem to degenerate into too teams playing defense the whole time. Now I only got to play ctf_well for about 5-6 min. but this is the impression I got from it while playing it.
I still like TFC's ctf well map better, but the nostalgia factor is high in that department.
I have Orange box but not relaly played Team Fortress 2!?!?!
I'm in UK, can someone message me...
at this point I was thinking, What you have orange box but haven't played tf2 yet!!11!1 Oh well just join Icrotic's steam group and you will be hooked up.
Some of you saw me on tonight, I'll try and make that a more regular thing. I am a thorough newb at the moment, though, so I look forward to learning strategy from you fellows. Also, gotta fix the mic.
TF2 update: you may’ve heard that new achievements, maps, and unlockable items are on the way. The first map, Goldrush, introduces a new game mode. The BLU team must escort a high-tech mining cart through a series of checkpoints to the RED base within a time limit. The more BLU players near the cart, the faster the cart moves. The cart stops if any RED team member is in the vicinity. We’re balancing the map now; look for it within the month.
