I had my eye on -63|275 as a fourth village but with the demise of Saracen2 @ the powerbase, its taking a long time to get Vorbis @ the outpost upto fullspeed.
If someone needs/wants it, I'd go for it.

Guess who's founding a village right up in TSN's business? :ninja:

...and taking the 50% cropper in the middle of their settlement. :range:

Hehehe, Hope it works out Keebs.
Maybe you could get a couple of mice to infiltrate and get some inside info on them. It's just a little hole in the wall. They shouldn't notice. lol
I'm working on taking the iron oasis at -84/287.
Should get it started in the morning when enough troops in Falconers village are ready.
It's like a 5 hr trip for my Merchants, so I'm assuming it will take a while for troops to get there.
Would it be wiser to send horse troops ( Equites Imperatoris & Equites Caesaris) or (Legionnaires, Praetorians, & Imperians.)?

If it's 5 hours for merchants it's going to be almost a full day for infantry. Yeah I would use cavalry since they travel faster. Just compare the fields per hour that the troops move. The higher the better.

Hawk.... I can empty the oasis for you ;)

Could I take it with 60 Equites Imperatoris + 46 Equites Caesaris?
If not, I'll either wait till troops at either village are plentiful enough or I'll have you do that Sir Keebs.
Thnx for the offer. I kind of feel that's a bit on the cheating side and not getting experience, but then again I want to get my village up and protected as fast as possible.
    I'm in a quandary! lol

Depending on the creatures that inhabit that oasis, it will take a bunch more than what you listed. Take a look at the oasis I JUST attacked...

Yeah, that's not even close to enough. Just let me know when your hero is ready. My Imperians can sort out an oasis quickly ;)

ok, my residence in Outpost Office is level 10, do you think i should build settlers for a 2nd village, or just expand the current one.

i have plenty of culture points, over 1500 per day and 3 villages doing daily tea parties (which is essentially over 3000 CP per day)

If its resources are maxed, expand.

I've found that two villages next to each other (or really close) can be a great asset. Hydra has maxed out production and just funnels resources to Aries. Since Aries is my capital, it's already cranking out over 30k each hour so Hydra makes it another 12K for over 45k every hour. The massive attack yesterday from godsend is totally repaired and Aries is even better than it was before.

I just set up my latest village by my lonely first village so the new village can pump resources to Cetus and hold spare troops.;)

Absolutely. Multiple villages next to each other are clutch. That's why I think any cropper should have at least 2 other villages next to it.

    I've got a lvl 2 hero at Talon 1.
    3 fields away.
    No experience. Does that matter?
If not, go ahead and clear it. Let me know when it's ready to occupy.
I didn't know you could pick what type of hero you wanted and just took the one that came up.
    Unfortunately, It was Praetorian. :(

Your hero will be able to walk in to -84|287, meeting no resistance, at 3:53pm in-game-Eastern-Time. The animals will probably stay gone for up to an hour after that.

I sent two waves: 2K and 1K Imperians.

    Thank You Sir Keebs.
When able, My Talon 1 villagers have requested a party in your honor.
I guess I should put my hero and a few troops there to hold it huh?

At least a scout... Several of my oasis (not in hostile areas) are vacant except for a scout.

Yeah, there's really no need to "hold" anything at the outpost right now, just a scout to let you know if anything happens. There's no one close enough to steal your oasis out here.

Sent a few troops with hero and they all came back.
It still doesn't show the oasis as mine.

And you have a lvl10 Hero Mansion?
  • HawkHawk Fla Icrontian
    edited April 2008
    No,
Hero's only lvl 2 as I said in earlier post.
Didn't know hero had to be lvl 10.
Guess that will give me time to build up troops and attack it myself.
Sorry for the wasted attack Keebs.

    he doesn't, that's the problem
i know i don't know, but i know for sure since i saw the report.
the mansion has to be level 10 BEFORE the attack is launched
  • LincLinc Owner Detroit Icrontian
    edited April 2008
Concentrate on leveling up the Mansion over building troops and you'll get there a lot faster. I'll blast it again when you're ready ;)

Is your Hero MANSION level 2. Your hero doesn't need to be any particular level.

Meant to say Hero's Mansion is only level 2.

I'm a bit confused on this myself. I sent my hero from my first village over to the outpost. Will he be available for the outpost village to send to the oasis? Or does each village get its own hero?
  • Invisible-MuffinInvisible-Muffin Scotland
    edited April 2008
    one hero.
as long as you have a mansion in the outpost village BEFORE he's sent to reinforce, he can be controlled from that village
