As for now, Intel cpu's and Nvidia videocards gets murdered in 3D05 thanks to the beta driver.
Bud, click the link to "driver hotfix" in this link to the Ati infobase. Now, i didn't do any cleaning of the old drivers and the control panel and we all know how much that helps.

Another ATI 9700 Pro bench:
System 1 (in signature)
9700 OC @ 341/320
Omega 2.5.76
Open GL and Direct 3D set to "High Performance"
Woah...ran 3dmark and the first test was running with like 11 FPS, and then when it got to the second test I got an error saying it was out of video memory! Something definately not right here...
* A possible exploit to inflate results in 3DMark05 version 1.0.0 has been fixed
* Updated Entech DLL
* One incorrect unit in the MS Excel importer has been fixed
Note: Hotfix 110 updates your 3DMark05 (100) to 3DMark05 (110). This hotfix is required to submit your result to the ORB.
OC'd the A64 to HTT 250Mhz & 2.5ghz - Same score :banghead:
Well at least we know it's not as CPU-dependent as other benchmarks... although my Xeons are still about 1000pts. behind than A64 systems with the same GPU... I may end up ordering that Iwill board anyhow.
Aquamark and 3D2001 still reigns as the better cpu+video benchmark. 3D2003 and 3D2005 are primarily a videocard benchmark. Athlon XP or dual Xeon's etc have no chance against A64 in Aquamark/3D2001.

Mackanz... I think you're right, although my Xeons are much closer to A64 systems with the same GPU (the 6800GT) in 3dmark 03 than they are in 05... I need to run 01 on the Xeons when I get back to school.
