As long as it's not the weekend of May 14th, I might be able to go. I'll be all graduated and stuff in a week, so it's just a matter of taking some vacation time from work
Heh. You've never been to California. Admittedly, I haven't been to Michigan either, but I suspect that California drivers (myself included) are worse.
California drivers suck!!!!! i make a hour and a half commute to work everyday, LA traffic. i can't stand it.! but yeah out of everywhere i have driven (all the way to the east coast and back) california is probably the worst in terms of amount of cars to amoutn of stupid drivers

Oh they're not all stupid. Some of them, like me, are just insane.
I am not entirely certain about June dates - my family reunion is sometime in June this year, so one week (I don't know what week) in June is out for me. The only other time that is out is August. May or July are definitely OK for me.
Brian, do you have any places up there that are already set up as coffee and gamer bars? I could imagine a place like that being a suitable location - and some would even have rigs that folks could rent if they have to travel too far...

We drive just fine. Apparently you and your Mustang don't.
I've driven all around the NYC Metro area, and I can say, without a shred of doubt, that MI drivers are by far the worst. They speed, they don't signal, they change lanes without looking.
As a seasoned NYC driver, I can say this with confidence.
Ya know...my buddy always wanted to open one up around here...just figured there wouldn't be a market for it b/c everyone has broadband now. I think that 3-4 years ago it could have worked....back when there was that huge LPB v HPB debate and such.
Awwww... I'm touched.... No, not Mantouched, emotionally touched....
I think simply "touched" is adequate in your case.
Before anyone reaches the point of despair, remember that the whole idea of this thread is to work out as many kinks as possible beforehand. I hope to be there and see every one of you.
hmm, this has gotten me interested. Known some of you for years online, others might at least know who I am even if we have never spoken. I can attend anything that is within about 20 hours drive from me (or further, depends on if anybody rides with me or not). Speaking of which, if anybody in the Florida needs a ride or doesn't feel like driving alone, I can meet up with ya here in Tallahassee.
really I just want to smack ya around like little bitches with a well placed toilet or two
I'm going to post before I do my reading so please feel free to call me a "Leech"... It will only make it easier when you taste the spray from my Apache!
Ocomik (what a Tard - speaking about myself in the third person) is officially requesting a status on the SM LAN 2005. I know for Prime there was some building logistics involved that MAY preclude it from being held.
Do we have any official word on whether it's a go this year?
Thanks
ocomik
P.S. You know Q and I are down with helping out. If QCH tries to lay down some lame excuse about his MBA, I'll put the smackdown on him - you heard it hear first!
You tell him, ocomik! SM-LAN '04 was right smack in the middle of my last MBA term, and I can tell you I had much more fun at the LAN than I would have if I'd stayed home that weekend to work on crap for school!
Original Pancake House... There's a church - like a for real, cute little country church, complete with steeple, for sale directly across the street from the pancake house.
We said "now THAT would make a sweet lan spot"....

You saw what that guy did to my baby, damn crazy drivers.
Obviously whenever/wherever it will be, I'll make it somehow.
