The Lan is open to anyone willing (and able) to travel to where ever the LAN is held. We had friends of SM folk, we had family of SM folk, and we had guys from Icrontic also.

    You're more than welcome.

Team Nexlia is already planning to host 'NexLiAN 6' down here in Cincy on the weekend of June 24th. If there is any interest, we Nexlian's could talk about moving it to a bigger venue, and inviting the SM crowd.

Right now, GH and I usually hold it in our apartment, which barely holds 8 people, so we would certainly need to move it, but there is a gamer place here in Milford that could proly hold 35-40 peeps with PCs (that's a low estimate). We've never talked to them about hosting an all-weekend type of event, so I don't know what kind of pricing it would be, but we can find out.

This is just an idea. I havn't even discussed it with the rest of Team Nexlia but, I thought I'd see what kind of interest there might be in this if we did it.

I would try to get something going here, at least as a backup plan in case we can't get it elsewhere, but there's just frickin' nothing around here. That includes S-M members. I think there's one person in Milwaukee, that I'm aware of... I just can't remember who ;D. Edcentric, maybe?

But, all in all, it doesn't make sense to do it here. I could easily make Chicago, my parents have given me the OK for anywhere within 6 or so hours of driving, and if I'm lucky, I'll be able to drive myself (and possibly McDubs, if he can/wants to go) there. Either way, I have the green light on it, and I hope we can do this somewhere. I missed last year, but this year is looking good :)

I'm thinking of Kalamazoo, MI. It's 2.5 hrs from Detroit, 2.5 hrs from Chicago, 4 hrs from Ohio, and probably 4.5 hrs from Wisconsin. I could grab people from Chicago's O'Hare airport, Prime from Detroit, and Kalamazoo has a international airport too but most flights stop in Detroit or Chicago before going to Kalamazoo.

Of course, Chicago would be the easiest for me and Ocomik and I'm sure we could find something but it may preclude people due to distance to drive.

How 'bout Anchorage! ;D OK, maybe not. Well then, what about Fairbanks? No, that's too far for me - nearly 8 hour drive. Rats.

Nope - flight's too expensive to Nome. Also, don't know what lodging is available there.

im pretty tight with all the teachers in the buiseness department(all the computer classes) of my highschool, ill talk with them about there being a chance in hell that possibley we could have it in at my highschool in one of the classes rooms, pretty easily could fit 25-30 ppl in there. pretty slim shot but if nobody minds i could give it a shot...
